Tampa Support Group Meetings

Hi Everyone, I am new to this site. I am 10 months post op. I am looking for a support group in the Tampa area. I already attend a group in Lakeland and Orlando, but I see alot of people on this site from the Tampa area and was wondering if there was a support group in the area. Thanks Terese

Cindy, welcome to the site. I have a support group, it's not in Tampa, but it's closer than Orlando. The Bypass Buddies meet every 2nd Saturday from 10:00a.m. to noon, and every 4th Wednesday(tonight) from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater. We meet in the tuttle auditorium. The group is primarily patients of Dr. Haicken, but any and all are invited to join us. Give us a try, my wife and I live in Tampa, it's not that far of a drive.

Terese, Which meetings do you attend in Orlando? I am looking for some to attend too. Amy

Hello Terese- There is a post-op support group meeting at TGH every 3rd Tuesday at 7 pm. If you need any more information, please let me know! Would love to see you next meeting! Lori

Hi Terese: I am a pre op and go to Town & Country Hospital for WISH center groups. Last month was on nutrition and July 8 will be a surgeon. Later a clothing consultant..... It is usually the 1st Thursday of the month beside the cafeteria, 630 pm. ~ Tina ~
