Hello everyone! I actually posted this the other day and when I went looking for it later, it was nowhere to be found! So, at the risk of being redundant, I would like to pose my question to all of you again. My surgeon is going to have me take liquid Centrum for the first few weeks after surgery. What I'm thinking is if our bodies don't absorb as well post-surgery, does it make better sense to take liquid vitamins for the rest of your life so that you get more out of it? If not, can any of you tell me if you think it's worth it buying expensive vitamins vs. the cheap ones? I don't want to spend the extra money if you're just paying for GNC's label (for example), but don't want to skimp on my health if it truly makes a difference! Thanks to all in advance, I really appreciate it!

Do what your doctor recomends. I looked at some of the expensive ones and when I brought the contents of them to the nutritionist we discovered that the less expensive ones were just fine, in some cases better. Remember we don't have trouble absorbing all nutrients, only some. My doctor has me on the Centrum chewables. Talk to you doctor's office. Mention specific brands and have a list of the nutritional contents. THen you and they can make an informed decision. Kathy

Kathy I would take what the dr suggest but you might want to look at this site and print out some infor for your dr. Andrew Lessman's are pure, no fillers, no dyes. You only get what he says are in the vitamins and its all listed. Go to http://www.yourvitamins.com or go here, directly to the page of what I take you will have to copy and paste the link, the entire link is not coming up...sorry. The product below is for Procap Complete Mutimineral and vitamin plus CoQ10 etc http://www.yourvitamins.com/YVI.Web/(3u2wcd55jlwf2z55ercpv0j4)/Pages/Order/Products/SelectProduct.aspx?pid=268435648 This is what I take every other day but I have not had surgery as yet but my Primary things they are the best. They can be mixed into shakes if you can't get them down. I know he does powder to mix with water for children, still far better than the over the counter stuff. I consider myself very knowlegeable about vitiamins and for 25 years these are the ones I have been on. When he updates them you get the newer formulas. Let me know what you think.
