OK i went to group theraphy and one on one with surgen, and now they told me to find a local pulmanary doctor and a shrink , i have United health care pos select, now ok ill call make an apoinment but will my insurance cover it or do i need a referel?

Neil, Call your insurance co. Go to benefits sections they can tell you what coverage you have. Good Luck, mrgaret

I have United Healthcare Choice and they covered my visit with the Cardiologist and all the tests she did. (Treadmill, EKG and Echocardiogram). I didn't have to have a pulmonologist visit since I have never smoked and don't have sleep apnea. I didn't need a referral but then, my policy may be different from yours. A referral can be as simple as a note on a prescription pad. Good luck.
