NEED HELP FINDING

My husband is 6'4" and currently weighs 460lbs. He is on several different medications and is basically in need of weigh loss surgery. We have discussed it in the past but neither of us wanted to look into it any further. But now it is almost necessary for his health. The only hold up we have is is medical insurance. His has been disable all of his life and is getting SSI, he also gets Medicaid. Come to find out no doctors in Florida take that insurance to provide the service. Is there any loopholes or doctors that will take this insurance?

I am on Medicare & Medicad and Dr. Keith Kim at Celebraton Bariatric (Celebration Hospital in Celebration, FL near Disney) is doing my surgery.  Hope this helps.

Which Medicaid provider are you using?  I have read of people changing from one Medicaid program to another in order to get the surgery covered.

In researching for myself I know that Dr. Jorge L. Sosa takes medicaid.  He operates out of Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, FL.
