I have a question for Post ops. At this point in my life, any health problem I have is automatically attributed to my weight. Sore throat, broken finger, you all know the story. After the surgery, will the medical world say every problem I have is attributable to the surgery? Kathy

Kathy, Boy, do I know what you mean! If I had a dollar for each time my weight was blamed for everything wrong with me. I once went to the doc for a upper respiratory infection/flu, felt like crap just wanted some relief and to get back home to bed and had to listen to a lecture about my weight from the new doctor at the practice. LOL , I laugh now, but I was not a happy camper that day. After surgery, I guess if you didn't take your vitamins (or supplements, if needed) and watch your bloodwork, you run the risk of them blaming the surgery for illness too.
