Hey Everyone, Thanks for all of your help on the board. Thank you Shannon S. I called Dr. Cox office this morning and he takes share of cost. So this morning I am doing the happy

. So now I get to start everything. There is an info session and support group for Dr. Cox on may 26th. That is where I get to do my application and all that.

You have to HURRY with paper work and getting all your testing done, so you can get approved! I just got off the phone with Medicaid and they are cutting out "share of cost" as of Jan 2005. I'm not sure what other Medicaid programs will be affected or other changes. This is just what Medicaid told me today. Also I don't think you have to have a supervised diet from a doctor for Medicaid/share of cost. You need "medically needy" letter from PCP (prior authorization) and HISTORY of diets to show your attempts to lose the weight. A photo is no longer required. I'm not sure if you have to show you have been over weight for pass five years. Call Medicaid and ask what you need for sure.

Hey, thanks for all your help. The problem that I was having was that Medicaid didn't offer the other HMO's in my county. When Medicaid stops the Share of Cost I don't know what kind of insurance I will have because of them not offering the other HMO's. But I am gonna try to get it done by the end of the year if I am able to. Thank you again Angie
