Gall bladder

Has anyone had to have their gall bladder out after the surgery? I am now about 2 and a half months post op and I have to have my gall bladder out just wondering if anyone else went through this.

Nope, had mine out several years ago. Just to share, I have read gall bladder problems are caused by our weight, fat we eat and etc. Well my daughter is very thin, 5'7", 130 and never eats fats and she had to have hers out, MMMMMMMMMMMmmm wonder what the story is here? Food for thought, no pun intended. Marla

Hey there. Well Marla aren't you the lucky one!! Dr. Murr removes your gall bladder when he does the bypass, as well as taking a liver biopsy! Karee

Hey Cara..... Strange enough. I Have heard that most doc want to go ahead and remove the gall bladder when they do wls. I, on the other hand, had my gall bladder removed in oct of 2002. Strange enough the same doc now does WLS and I am going to be seeing him soon for it WOOHOOOOO. There is nothing to it! Good Luck!
