HMO info

Hi I just read over all the posts lol and I was wondering, not to sound stupid, I only have medicaid, what is a hmo? i saw posts with healthease, amerigroup, staywell ect ect. And which covers dental and everything. And how do I get it? Please let me know,,,thanks alot

Hi Tiffini, If you have straight medicaid you should qualify for an HMO. I actually thought it was mandatory that you chose an HMO, but I could be wrong. Medicaid offers several options depending on the area you are in. You may want to contact your local Medicaid office to find out more information. If you have medicaid/ share of cost, you wont be able to chose an HMO though. Good Luck finding one that works for you.
