I have an appointment with my PCP next week... do I start with him or do I call a surgeon first? Looks like I need to get through this process as fast as possible so that my husband can do it too ...any suggestions, thoughts, or ideas?

I'd start with the PCP. Most insurance companies require a letter from the PCP recommending the patient for surgery. Also, some surgeons require a consult from your PCP. You are heading in the right direction but don't expect it to happen fast. Patience is the name of the game. Good luck! Patty

HI angel, I hate to bust your balloon, but the word quick won't work here. This WLS thing is a long process and usually takes quite a few months. I've been at it since October 3 2003. Ot cam be very frustratomg, so just take a deep breath and go through the paces. Sandy
