Protein Shake Side Effects?

I am still pre-op but I have implented the protein shakes into my diet as well as making sure I have protein at every meal and two protein snacks. However I have noticed that I have more bowel movements then I used to. Is this because of the increased protein? Thanks, Karee

I think so. But I also have a problem tolerating the shakes. I cannot wait till I get on meats so I can cut down on the protein shakes.

I have yet to find a Protein shake that tastes good...... I did find an unflavored protein powder that I add to drinks, it's not bad at all. My BM's have been out of whack ever since surgery, so I cant say. Good Luck!

i like the suger free carnation instant breakfast...you also have to add 8 oz skim milk and 1/2 cup eggbeeter.... 24 protiens.. and it taste like chocolate milk... they also have vanilla
