wish center a big disapointment!

went to center in tampa and was turned down because of previous surgery! but they did test and will charge insurance for this even though he knew he was not going to do my surgery! he even told me to go on a diet. like i have not done this/ i know i am a bigger risk but they advertise that they handle revision surgery and high risk people! overall he was not compasionate and very short with me! i had my heart broken and he just acted like it was nothing! i made a 9 hr drive out hotel bill and had to obtain records that i had to pay for also, had a pap smear, gallblader test . blood work, ect. just to be sent on my way!

Laurie, Check out Dr. Overcash In Ocala. I know he does revisions too and his office staff is wonderful. Working with them, I feel like a patient, not a commodity like some of the other larger practices or groups. Maybe you can explain your situation to his nurse over the phone to see if there is a possibility he can work with you, explain you live a long distance away and are trying to avoid making an unnecessary trip. That other doctor's lack of bedside manner would have had me worried even if I was approved for a high risk surgery. I recently had a horrible experience with a female cardiologist, I had requested a female doctor because typically they have treated me with compassion about my weight...boy, was I wrong to make that assumption LOL. I left the office crying and found another doctor. Everything happens for good reason, hang in there and keep up the fight, you deserve to live a long healthy life. Amy

i know the feeling girl i went to wish center also.they wanted a big upfront fee of 1800 dollars and did all kinds of test also which were 1700 dollars and they did not tell me this upfront or i would not have wasted my time nor theirs....good luck and check other drs they say dr garwad in ocala is good so im checking other obtions also hang in there girl they are not the only drs i think they are money hungry myself.. im ondisability and can not afford all this plus they told me i had a stomach bacteria which the medicine was almost 400 dollars go to other drs they have plenty and u will get help ....dont give up girl keep me posted u can email me also anytime [email protected] Bev Savage
