Hungry for Information !!

Hi Everyone, I'm new to the interacting part of this website and I say that because I have been reading everything I can on this GREAT site, but just recently signed up. I have actually been researching WLS for over a year now, since I came across the first person that I knew that was going thru with the procedure. Since then, I have read all I could find on WLS in the internet, books, magazines and the few people around me that have had the surgery done. I guess..I am just a little scared still, about the emotional part of it all, the part where my mind tells me one thing but my stomach something else..I am in the Miami area, and I wanted as much insight on anyone that has done WLS in my area. I'd like to know about which doctors you did WLS with? and which is truly better..Open or Lap ? because that's something that I keep getting mixed signals on. And also the hair loss..how bad can it get? Just as much information as everyone can be so kind as to give me..I appreciate all the infor I can get, it will help me so much.. Thank You All !! ;)

Ar Ar, you've stumbled upon a wealth of information and support on this website. I think eventually all your questions will be answered. Your doctor will be able to answer your questions from a scientific point of view. Then there are the info sessions. Find one in your area and attend. Anyone can go. Trust me on this, if it weren't for the info session, I'd still be trying to find out some stuff. This website is wonderful for support. You'll find lots of encouragement on here.
