Liquid vs. Pill vitamins

I hear so many conflicting things about malabsorption of vitamins after surgery. Some say the pills never dissolve while others say the liquid pass thru too quickly to absorb. What types of vitamins did your doctors suggest you take? Appreciate your suggestions. Amy

my nutrionist suggested i crush the pills.... and she also said that the b-12 shot was probley the best idea

Amy, actually there is a company coming out with a chewable just for gastric bypass patients. We heard about it for the first time at Thurs night's info session. The nutritionist also suggested Flintstones Complete because it was the closest in nutritional value. When I find out exactly which vitamins and which company is going to sell these, I will post the info. But for now, you can crush your pills or do the Flintstones Complete.
