V'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
I am 2-wks post-op and so happy with my choice. While I was in the hospital I was amazed at the RNY to DS revisions that were being done. Thank God I did my research and made a decision that fits my life.
I was a lap band to DS revision.
I know that the travel was a bit pricey but I beleive I made the right choice.

I, too, have been on the search for a top-notch DS surgeon. I have been in communication with Dr. Marchesini in Brazil who has been extremely helpful and very informative. His rates are reasonable and he comes very highly recommended by several Florida DSers I met at a support group. I have not made my final decision yet, but I am very impressed by Dr. M. thus far.
You may want to post your question on the DS surgical forum where you will get a lot more recommendations for surgeons.

My husband went to Omaha and had DS surgery with Dr. Anthone. He and Methodist Hospital have the Center of Excellence designation and do not charge any upfront or program fees. I had my DS three and half years ago with Dr. Anthone and I could not be happier.
Dr. Kim does not do the DS surgery. Nor does U.S. Baritric. I was told by their nurse he no longer does the DS, has not for years.
There are no Drs. in Fl. that do the DS. You have to go out of state for this surgery.
Look on the DS forum and they will direct you.
Be sure that you go to a Drs that is a Center of Excellence. Tell here to start a 6 months diet with her primary care Dr. and be sure to go every month about the same time. and also that he will send a letter of neccisity.
Dr. Kim and Dr. Marema(US Bariatice are both a center of excellence.
