Wanting the surgery

Hi. I am new to Tampa, and I have been trying to get approved for this surgery for almost 3 years. My husband's previous employer had Aetna PPO as our insurance carrier, and they approved me the first time I applied, but I chickened out at the last minutes, and the next time I applied (even though I weighed 20 lbs more) I was denied. My husband starts with a new employer in a few weeks and I am wanting to get this over with and start living! Can anyone suggest a doctor in Tampa? Thanks!

I have a great surgeon, Dr. Barry Haicken, he's in Largo. Although my wife and I live in Tampa, she had her surgery with Dr. Haicken 16 months ago, and I am having mine with him next month. He has an excellent pre-op and post-op program, a fabulous support group, and a great reputation. I can not say enough good things about him. He does his surgeries at Morton Plant hospital, Largo Medical center, and Palms of Pasadena. I hope I helped a little, good luck on your journey.
