What is the CPT CODE FOR RNY GASTRIC BYPASS

HELLO ALL, CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THEY PROCEDURE CODE IS FOR ROUX-EN-Y I was told it was 4386 and then 4387, I am trying to create a letter to the insurance and I need to know which code is it. Thanks in advance!

Tonya, I kow what the code is but as I work for an insurance co I can't tell you, it is fraud, but I can tell you that is is a 5 digit number, not 4, I would call the office and get it from them. Just a question, why are you doing the letter and not the Dr office? They will most likely not take any requests from the patient. Your Dr should be doing all of that. Hey, the code for a Laparascopic RNY is 43842! Good Luck. If it's not going to be open and it is going to be a laparascopic, that is the code! I got it from my doctor's office, and blue cross blue shield of FL a couple of days ago. Gabriella
