have seen a few people ask but I have not seen a answer yet . I NEED a surgion who will take medipass for gastric bypass . I am sure most of you can relate , I would rather be dead than live like this I need an to help me .

hi lori, most drs quit taking medicaid/medipass, although i was told that a dr in weston still does......sorry i don't remember his name. but i did find a dr in st pete at the bariatric center that takes a type of medicaid......either healthease or staywell. the number there is 1-866-297-4576. call your local medicaid office to ask them, hopefully you won't get the run around like me lol. i changed from medipass to healthease(thats what was available in my county) it has to be approved by tally first if not your enrollment period and takes about a month to find out if accepted or not. then you have to see a new pcp. i hope this info helps and good luck, if you need any questions answered my email is [email protected]........... tammy
