Northwest Florida lap band docs & support groups

 Hi ya'll,

I just moved to Destin from Birmingham, AL.  I have the lap band, and had originally planned to get routine care (fills) with my doc there, but I'm concerned about the possible need for emergency care, and would like to establish a relationship with a lap band doc in this area.  Can anyone recommend a doctor in the Northwest Florida area, and do you know if he accepts other surgeon's patients under his care?

Also, does anyone know of a support group in this area for bariatric surgery?

Baptist Health Care in Pensacola offers an extensive support system for bariatrics.  I have not had surgery (yet) but hope to have it in Mexico soon because my insurance does not cover it.  I've researched the Pensacola facilities quite a bit and would suggest looking at their site.
