UTI

I just had my date moved to 12/23 and now a have a urinary tract infection that hasn't responded to the meds my pcp gave me. I spent a few hours in the emergency room b/c I was allergic to it and it gave me a rash all over. Now my doc put me on Cipro, but I'm annoyed since the nurse said the reason the other meds didn't work is b/c it doesn't work to kill the particular bacteria I have. She said the pcp should do a culture to determine what bacteria is actually causing the infection but all they did was a dipstick, even after they realized the 1st round of antibiotics didn't work, which I thought was careless. To top it all off, the results of my sleep study aren't in yet so I still can't get my pulmonology clearance. I just hope I'll be ready by my date!
