CROSSING MY FINGERS AND TOES

Today, the journey officially began! I turned in all the paperwork to my surgeon. Hopefully, two medical necessity letters the last supervised diet letter from my PCP are enough to convince CignaHMO! I am looking forward to getting an approval.....Wish me luck!

Looking back at this post dated Oct 2003, I cannot believe how much time has passed since I first started my journey. I recall how my insurance denied the surgery because I was missing 26 total weeks of a doctor supervised diet. Well, 3 years and 4 months later I AM FINALLY SET FOR SURGERY!!! I was blessed with the financial possibility to pay for the surgery and I am finally scheduled and ready to go June 21, 2007. I am soooooo happy!
