Going for Pre-op work today

Can any one please tell me what they are going to do to me... And does any of it hurt. I have surgury next week on the 29th. I am just wondering what they will do to me today. Can I still eat something or is it like when you have to give blood.. (nothing to eat or drink).. Thanks you all for you support.

blood work, does not hurt, and unless you are diabetic you dont have to fast
