Maybe one of you can answer for me. I am scheduled for a Lap gastric Bypass on Tuesday 10/07/03. How long is the average for the surgery. I thought I heard four hours. Does anyone know? Thanks Sharon

Sharon-My doc usually does it in around 1 1/2 hours. I have read here of some surgeons taking 4 hours, but I think that is usually people who are not very experienced in the lap procedures. Good luck to you! Lynda ME/FL

Sharon, My Lap took 5 hours, but there was some surprises once he got in there. Like my stomach was twisted. I hope you're not asking this question 'cause you have a date in the afternoon....hehe. Best of luck to you! John
