I GOT A DATE

I just heard that my surgury date will be Oct 29, 2003 at Baptist Hosiptal in Pensacola FL. I have a date for stomach xray this Monday 9/29/03. Can anyone tell what other test I will have to take before my surgury on Oct 29. Thank you all.

MsVee - That is GREAT and not too far away! I had to go through tons of blood work, sleep study, psych eval, GI series, and various other. It is really dependent on what issues you have and yoru surgeon. You will be fine and I wish you the very best in your WLS journey. I am 5 wks post-op and have already dropped over 50 lbs.

I had mine at Baptist also, Dr. Nye did it. Who is doing yours? I know there are a couple new doc's doing it at Baptist. Dr. Nye is awesome and I totally love him. I had major complications from the surgery and he always was on top of things. As far as other tests, he didn't do many on me. Some labs, EKG and upper GI since I had bariatric surgery (gastroplasty) back in 1982, with which I never lost a pound. Anyway, this surgery is working, I have lost 67 lbs so far.
