***I am APPROVED***
On, August 21, 2003, I called to harass BCBS, yet again, to check on the status of my claim. I was ready to call the Department of State Droup Insurance to make them aware that the insurance company was out of compliance with responding to my appeal as well as refer them to every conversation that I had with the insurance company. However, none of that was necessary. When the representative came back to the phone, to my delight, she said, you are approved for gastric bypass. I jumped for joy. Now, that the big hurdle is over, bring on the surgery date. I am ready.

Congratulations on the date! Do you know when and where your surgery will be. I had mine on 8/19/03 - by the time I had left the hospital I had already lost 10 lbs. Now I am just enjoying being home, spending time with the dog and boyfriend, and checking up on you guys!
