Question re Travel after surgery

Hey gang, this might seem like an unorthodox question... but has anyone travelled at 4 weeks after surgery? We have some frequent flyer certificates that need to be used before the end of September and I'm wondering if I have no complications and am feeling OK if it's OK to travel for a weekend as long as I take it easy (no lifing luggage, no strenuous exercise, just walking). I would only consider it if I have NO complications, NO problems getting my fluids in, and NO problems getting around. Any insight? -- Georgine Johns

Hi Georgine.......I was told by my surgeon that NO traveling (flying) for 6 weeks due to the chance of blood clots forming. Something about flying that could spark it. I am 6 weeks out now and I am just starting to feel like my old self. It takes time. You will be very tired for a while and thats normal. Hope this helps. Deborah Truitt
