Does anyone know if Dr. Cywes or Dr. Baptista from Jacksonville do the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy? 

If so, has anyone had this procedure by them? 

 I live in Jacksonville. I will be attending the next semianr that they are having in June. I am not sure if they do the vertical sleeve? I think they only do the lapband? Go to their website and they have a contact section where you can send them a message. I do know they have a excellent reputation.

I called Dr. Cywes' office and he does VSG, but Dr. Baptista does not. 

Thanks for the info.  I will check our your surgeon, because I have not made my final decision yet on my surgeon.

I had my RnY through the same practice as Dr. Webb.  The people at Novus are wonderful.  There is a program fee of $1500 that probably won't be covered by insurance.  You have to go through Novus to have WLS with Dr. Webb.

If you ever want to go to a support group and talk to people who have had the surgery, they are open to visitors!  We've had quite a few prospective patients do that to help with their choice.

Thanks.  I actually lost 41lbs on the 6months pre-op diet I had to do for my insurance requirements, so don't be fooled! :)
