Having VSG on 10/28 in Ft. Laud w/ Dr. Perez

Is there anyone else out there having surgery around my time with Dr. Perez or any other doctor or other WLS surgeries?

I am having a VSG with Dr. Gagner in Miami Beach on Oct 20.

I'm having lap-band right after you on halloween in Miami. Dr. Madan is my surgeon. How did you decide on the VSG?

At first I wanted the band and went to 2 doctors until choosing Dr. Perez, who both agreed that RNY or VSG would be better for me. So, after much research and feedback from Obesity Help forums, my hubby and I decided the VSG was the best way to go.

Personally, the band scares me because of a foreign object in my body. The RNY scares me because of the malobsorbtion aspect and the VSG scares me because 85% of my stomach is being removed. It seems any WLS has it's pros and cons. I feel which ever pros and cons work for an individual is the best way to go, so VSH here I come!!
