Need referals for RNY surgeon for after care appts.

Hi everyone.I`m in Illinois and am having my RNY on August 6th.After my 1st weeks post op appointment I will be moving to Orlando to be with my husband who just relocated there today.I`m on SSI & medicaid right now .Sooner or later I will lose my SSI because of his future income & I`m not sure if I will have to get on medicaid there or if he will have insurance that soon from where ever he gets a job.So I need someone just to do after care appointments & what kind of insurance they take including medicaid.

You might try Dr. Lou Harold.  But I would make sure that the surgeon would be willing to take you on as a patient.  Sometimes, surgeons are hesitant to take on another surgeons patient.  http://www.louharoldmd.com/

I am suggesting that you get YOUR surgeon to give you some names of colleagues or surgeons she knows in the state of FLA.  Sometimes it's not who you go to, but who knows who.   Let your surgeon know of the changes and see if she can't do some networking for you.
