New to FL anyone near me?

Actually I have been here since the end of last May but between my wedding and having a baby I have not posted here LOL I am Stephanie and moved back to FL after 14 years in Phoenix AZ. I grew up in Jupiter but I am on the west coast now. I am married to the love of my life and I have 3 boys Will is 10 an lives with his dad in AZ, Kenny is 9 years old and Lex was born 11/08/07.  I had my DS 08/12/02, so 5 1/2 years ago. I would love to meet others in my area. I am in North Port. I started off my journey at 335 pounds made my goal of 165 and then went down past that to where I bounced between 150 - 155 or so. I was 156 last March at my 1st OB appointment for the baby, I weighed 186 the day I had him and I am back down to 160. So if I could lose another 5-10 pounds it would be great! I will not complain much though as he is only 3 1/2 months old. Hope to get to know some more of you soon!

Hi Stephanie!  I live in North Port too!  My husband and I had gb about 8 months ago and are both doing awesome (he is down 135 and I am down 100).  We belong to a pretty great support group that is part of SMH's bariatric surgery center.  Would love to have advice of an expereienced "loser".  Haha.  Also have little ones and know all the great parks and playgrounds!  Lets talk.  -Michelle.

Welcome back to Florida!  I am in Bradenton, so just a tad bit north of you.  We have a peer support grorup meeting monthly in town.  If the distance isn't too far, I will get the link and send the information. Is the SMH group open to everyone?  My surgeon had a group at the local hospital but it had become totally a marketing program last I attended.  I really believe in support group attendance.  I am over two years out and know the hardest roads of maintenance are now starting.
