Gall Bladder - ? re the surgery

I do not need this surgery and hopefully never will; however, I need to know something:  When your Gall  Bladder comes out, is it much like GB surgery where you go from the operating room to recovery to a room (versus Intensive Care).  I basically need to know (has to do with insurance reasons) if it is typical to go to Intensive Care or if it is much like GB.  Thanks July 10, 2007 was surgery date and as of this Sunday I am down 77.5 lbs!

mine was done lap.  Did not need to go to icu, just regular recovery.  It is much like gb, but recovery is very easy.  Hope this helps! Merry Christmas Blessings, Tami

When my DH had his gall bladder removed it was same day surgery.
