MEDICAID AND MEDICARE SURGEONS LIST!

Have you had your surgery yet? If so how did it go? Can you tell what the process was leading up to surgery date and what appt and things you had to do to get approved. What type of medicaid do you need to see your Dr.? Hope your doing well. Thanks

Dr Ben David does but he refused to give me the lap band ...he would only do the sleeve so I am looking for another doctor in that area!

I posted this at GA board also: My Daughter is looking for a doctor that takes Medicaid for Lapband. We live in southeast Ga and my doctor does not take it. So Savannah or Jacksonville Florida would be great. Any Ideas would be appreiciated..also anyone know what medicaid has you do before approving?

Medicare is a federal program but Medicaid is a state program so what medicaid covers and specific requirements vary from state to state.  Your best bet is to post this on the Georgia forum since she has Georgia Medicaid.  Florida Medicaid coverage and requirements may be very different from Georgia.

How can you qualify for self pay??

check out alabama message bourd they have several who take it.  In Florida it is difficult to find.  Good luck- I am looking for a medicare assignment doctor myself
