BCBS Question, cross posted

I have seen my surgeon, had my EKG and my lab work done.  They don't submit anything for approval until all of my pre-op stuff is done (I still have the nut & psych consults, barium swallow & ABG left to do).  So, I got letters in the mail from BCBS FL today, saying that I'm responsible for the surgeon's consult & EKG.  Is this just because they haven't approved the surgery yet, and they'll cover them once they approve it?  Or am I going to have to pay this out of pocket?  The surgeon consult was over $700!    lol

I think you'll need to ask BCBS cause they will have a better answer for you..as they can see what your company provides as far as what the surgery covers. Best of luck!
