HAD MY SILASTIC RING REMOVED!!

HI RUTHY, SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT UR PAINS, THEY DO SOUND SCARY THOUGH U HAD AN ENDOSCOPY YET BECAUSE IF NO, I SUGGEST U SEE A GI DR TO GET ONE.  WHAT OTHER TESTS HAVE U HAD? YOU CAN'T LET THIS GO, AND IT MAY NOT EVEN BE SURGERY RELATED. WONT BE HAVING ANOTHER RING PUT IN AS MY SURGEON STOPPED USING THEM A YEAR AGO, I GUESS THEY ARE NOT NEEDED THESE DAYS. THERE'S ALWAYS SOMETHING NEW TO THIS SURGERY ISN'T THERE? LET ME KNOW HOW U DO WITH EVERYTHING AND DON'T DELAY!! TAKE CARE HUGS

Yes, Im rethinking calling in a GI doc to do some testing..Im not sure if adhesions can cause all this pain..but it's weird how it's happen on a monthly basis and NOT daily or more often - not that Im saying that I want it to happen at all but it's just weird it's not more frequent IF it is adhesions. When this started about a year, Dr. Overcash himself did the endoscopy and said he went as far down to the Y-junction which is the new intestinal area. At that time he determined that it was possible it could be a slow moving stomach emptying and prescribed Reglan - that helped for a whiel and til June of this year I had been fine..now I've had my pains come again 6/20, 622, 7/16 and now 8/17. I had a CT done on 6/22 and he has the results but probably has not had the time to review since he's been busy with seminars and the stomaphyx procedure. I guess my best bet is to set an appt with a GI doc and they then can talk it out IF he can find something out. Wish me luck. Thanks - and best of luck to you as well. Yes, there is always something going on with the surgeries and that's a good thing since it's something to improve our lives, right? Hugs

Hi Joanne! Hey - I just wanted to touch base with you to say that I'm so glad it's behind you now!  You must be SO relieved.  I haven't forgotten to write - it's just been unbelievablely hectic - moreso than usual in the last week.   Anyway, great news!  Glad it's done!!   ~ Terri

Hi Joanne, I am so glad you are doing better! that is a relief.  The iron I take is a chewable by Building Blocks. The flavor is Black Cherry and it is really tasty. I switched to that from the iron pill because the pill was making my pouch very pissed off! LOL!

I'm glad you're home and feeling better. Sorry I didn't write sooner but I was up in Philly and staying @ a friends house who DID NOT have internet access - I can't believe there there are people out there like this still?????  Anyway - how are you feeling? When do you leave for london?

FEELING MUCH BETTER THANKS BARBI - LEAVING FOR LONDON END OF SEPTEMBER - MY PARENTS ARE GOING TO BE SHOCKED WHEN THEY SEE ME. I WAS THERE LAST JULY AFTER LOSING 70LB AND NOW I AM 40LB LIGHTER SINCE THEN. ANYWAY, HOPE TO SEE U ONE OF THESE DAYS. HOPE UR DOING GOOD MY FRIEND. TAKE CARE HUGS

Thanks Vickie, I am totally recovered now, no more pains YEHHHH!!! don't even need the medicine anymore. Went down to Key West a couple days with hubby this week and it was great, did lots of walking and was able to eat properly (healthily of course) but with not stomach pains. Thanks again and u take care also.
