I have a Surgery Date!!!!

Hi all - So last Friday I had my new patient consult with Dr. Jawad's office... found out I would have to self-pay, and determined that RNY was probably the best way for me to proceed... Tuesday I had my nutritional evaluation, Wednesday my psych eval.  I am getting the blood work done next Tuesday... but today I called Dr. J's office and got them the amount they'd need to go ahead and schedule the surgery... and... I have my pre-op appointment on July 26th, and my surgery on July 30th!~ Yikes!  I am both totally excited and totally petrified all at the same time! Going to start the south beach plan tomorrow, and will move to liquid/one meal plan on July 15th.  I'm so excited... and nervous... it'll be so neat (and maybe scary) to lose the weight.  I really am ready... and cannot wait to meet some of you on Monday night! Thanks Mike!  Sure helps to hear from all of you who went through the surgery prior!  Atlanta - probably not so soon after taking time off for the surgery - but I do want to go to some of these events - they look like a lot of fun!

Mary, I am so happy for you.  I go on the 2nd for surgery.  Keep in touch and I will fill you in.  I remember when I found out May 30th I posted all over the board.  You are so excited you do not know what to do with yourself.   Anyway, come on over to Doctor Jawads forum.  We love to hear all the good news.
