Hello - My Name is Butch, I am new to this place, BUT....... I have had my WLS since 2002, and have lost 250 lbs. I had a lap-band installed back then, and it's worked well. I am still 370 lbs and need to lose another 150 lbs, I am going to NY for an adjustment in June, and then I want to have a panniculectomy, or something along those lines. BUT......... I need a doctor who has done this type of thing before, and won't balk when I come waddling in there with my 80 lb belly swinging from side to side. This is an embarrassment and it also keeps me from doing much, like walk'in and do'in stuff around the house. God has blesses me with this weight loss and to be retired at 55, but there ain't noth'in I can do (unless I drive, and then don't get out of the truck) It suck's to put it mildly. So I would like to know how, OR if someone out there knows of a doctor here in Mid-West-Florida. I live in Citrus County (this is about 80 miles north of Tampa on the coast) I thought there was a doc in Hudson that has done a lot of these thing's. WELL, any help would be greatly excepted. First Butch, start an OH Profile and record your WLS Journey! You sound as your getting along except for the belly apron. Someone reading your story may be Inspired to continue their Journey rather than giving up. Of course since I used him and will again. I'd suggest Dr.Ernest Rehnke in St.Petersaburg, FL. of the Palms of Pasadena Hospital. I received the RNY a year ago and have slowed by not exercising as I was plus eatting wrongly a few times. I've gained 10 [ounds but today got back into the swing of changing to a healthier life. But Dr. Rehnke recently did a revision on my girlfriend *****ceived the RNY 12 years ago in Boston, when they didn't seperate the Stomach & new Pouch. But then then staple line disrupted. But Dr.R fixed it and seperated everything and she is now back on track. So back to your inquiry, From my first vist. Dr. Rehnke has stated that I'll lose so much then subside to not losing much more. At that time he'll discuss and place a Lap Band around my Pouch. Which he has done to several Patients already. Dr.Rehnke has done the Tummy Tucks with an Gall Bladder removal plus assist his brother (who is a Plastic Surgeon) in other surgeries. Check under Surgeons/Plastic Surgeons on OH for reveiws of others too.
