Chantrel, where are you?
Hi, this is Dolllady. I have sent you a couple messages, but don't know if I did it right. Look at your messages and let me know. I'm still not losing. I feel very depressed. I have an appt. with Kevin next Tuesday. I'm at 3 1/2ccs in my 4cc band but still don't feel much restriction. I can eat most anything. I am excersizing, not drinking with my meals, taking 20 min. to eat, drinking my water, getting my protein. I'm now writing down everything I eat to see if theres a pattern. I still have intense cravings which I sometimes give in to. It's such a vicious cycle, don't lose weight for 5 months, get depressed, eat wrong foods!! Has anyone else gone through this? I need some feedback from anyone on this forum. Thanks.
Hi Dolllady,
Just wanted to let you know that you can usually find chantrel on our Dr.'s forum.

I've had the lapband myself and totally know what you're going through. Even with the bypass now I still have intense cravings, only now I'm not able to eat as much. You hang in there girl. It sounds like you're doing what you need to do by tracking down what you eat, etc. How much calories are you consuming a day? What about exercise?? Are you getting any?? And don't freak out about having 3 1/2 cc's in your 4cc band. If need be they can put in more than 4cc. That's only the recommended amount by INAMED. It can hold more than the 4cc's. It definitely sounds like you don't have proper restriction yet. When was your last fill? You just might need a little tweak, that might do the trick for you. My husband has the band also. Don't give up on yourself, you can do this!! Don't beat yourself up about this either. It's hard to lose weight with the band if you are not properly filled. Once you get to your "sweet spot" you'll look at things differently. Since I have had the revision over to the bypass from the band I can go for months and not lose an ounce and then all of a sudden I start losing again. And usually I just have to figure out what I need to tweak in myself. Whether it be exercising more, drinking more water, getting in more protein, or realizing that I've been doing a little too much grazing..lol!! You just hang in there and don't give up!! I know it's frustrating. If you ever need to talk feel free to drop me a line anytime!!
Good luck,
Jo Ann
