Hi everyone! Well I made it through had my surgery on Friday AM the 4th of May. Doing really well I think. Only problem is I am having pain breathing because he removed my gall blader and it is raw and when I take a deep breath it hurts but Dr Webb said just a few days or a week maybe. I am eating fine no problems I am able to take in 1 can of pro slam protien a day so thats 50 grams of protien! Plus a little broth and a bite or two of jello. No pain to speak of other than from the gall blader being removed. I did bleed a lot after surgery and had to be given a transfusion (2 units ) that was a bit scarey but again Dr Webb said it can happen, in all of the surgries he has done I was the 5th one to ever have to get a transfusion!!!!! Go figure!!! OK I am pretty tired so am going to go rest. I want to say A BIG THANK YOU to my NEW FRIEND DREMA she has been a GOD SEND TO ME! She even came to the hospital to meet me and has just been a book of knowledge for me. My hope is for each of you as you go through your journey you will find your own DREMA!!!! Catch you all later Judy White

HI Jann I had by pass so no help on the lap band but my friend had it a few months ago. She is doing fine no problems but the weight is really slow in coming off she said. I think she is a little frustrated at times but knows it will be ok . Good luck to you also. Judy

Drema Not sure but I think I ate to much yesterday!!!!!! To much protien drink maybe. By 6 PM I had that full filling and was really sick at my stomach the smell of any food made me feel like I was going to lose it! So maybe today I won't ttry and drink the full can it was hard to do but I thought I had to but I don't want to fill like that again!!! Let me know what you think

Hi Judy, Try half of the can at a time. Perhaps 4 oz at a sitting. I know I had a difficult time getting anything more than 3-6 oz down at a time during those first few weeks.
