Spoke to Alex.. she had her surgery today and is doing VERY well!!!

I called Alex this evening at about 7:30 PM EST and she answered the phone! She sounds great! She said she is sore but not as bad as she thought she would. She was expecting them to come soon to get her up to walk and was really looking forward to it. She is SOOO happy to have it behind her and sounds so positive about everything and looking forward to her journey ahead. Being a pre op person, for me it was very inspiring to talk to her. She asked me to post to let everyone know how she's doing. I told her I'd call her in a couple days and report back to everyone here how she's doing. -Marianne C. Hudson, FL

Marianne is right...it is a great experience and I was discharged the next day...sore on the left...still have drain....today is march 5, 2007 so until thursday i will then feel complete...i have to say it is a mental challenge...but nothing we cannot overcome...i have my moments where my brain is constantly telling me to eat...but i am really full...i don't regret it thus far....take care everyone and a big kiss to you Marianne. love alex
