looking for support group in Largo, Clearwater Area

Hi everyone, so good to find this site again, have been off for awhile. We recently moved to Fl, would love to attend a support group, do you know of one in the area? lostitall

There are several Support Groups who meet monthly in Pinellas County. My surgeon, Dr.Rehnke's Support Group is tomorrow Saturday 11/18/06. Our monthly gastric bypass meeting is at 2:30 pm. The meeting is located in the professional building behind the Palms of Pasadena Hospital. The meeting will be held in the first office building and the address is 1609 Pasadena Ave - St. Petersburg, FL. The format will be: first 15 minutes (+/-) patients will get to tell their stories to prospective patients. Then the groups will be seperated with Dr. Rehnke talking to individuals researching WLS and the other group will be our patients with Dr.Lindsay, one of the Pysch Docs Dr.Rehnke's staff recomends for group discussions. If you have any cloths that are too big please bring them and plan on taking some smaller sizes. Also there'a a great Support Group at Morton Plant Hospital every Second Saturday of each month in the Auditorium by their cafeteria at 10 AM. Plus a Informational Seminar/Support Group once a month on a Wednesday evening. Plus at the Suncoast Hospital on Indian Rocks Road, every Monday evening in the meeting room next to the cafeteria there is a "Refocus Group" which deals with PostOp Issues like Regaining Weight amongst other issues. They meet at 630 PM. Drive around back and enter through the screened-in porch. Largo Medical Center has just started a Support Group also in Meeting Rms A & B. Which meets tomorrow too at 1 PM. Their on West Bay Drive. A little about me: I've just finished the OH Leadership Program and will be starting a Support Group at the Clearwater YMCA in Janruary for all WLS Post & Pre-Ops plus anyone who is hoping to lose weight. I'm also the 2007 Florida OH Conference Coordinator to be held in Tampa Bay next summer sometime. Plus I'm featured in the current issue of the OH Magazine.
