Wt Gain all of a sudden

lost 92lbs with rny procedure 18mos ago and have remained at 121 for over 6 mos now. Recently had a severe reaction to Keflex and had to go on high dose of prednisone for 6 days plus I found out that my Thyroid was slightly off. In the past 2 weeks I have gained 6 lbs I journal my food and have done nothing diff... Any thoughts on this out there Sue and scared of this wt gain

Do a Google search for Prednisone and you will find that a sudden weight gain of 5 pounds or more is normal. Terrible but normal. Donna

Donna,, thanks for your reply.. I was only on a 6 day dose pack of this for an allergic reaction. I can understand that if I were on prednisone for a long period of time that it could happen and I would continually gain but 6 days OMG Well anyhow...each day I have been going up 1/2 lb and after loosing.. u know our minds do not want to see that wt gain lol

You should definitely let your bariatric doctor know about this and get his input on it.Good luck with everything. Joanne

Prednisone is known to put alot of weight on people.
