Topic: Pre Workout/BCAA's

Hey Everyone,

Looking for some advice.

Does anyone here take a pre workout? If so, what kind/brand?

Same for BCAA's.

Thoughts on them?

I'm thinking BCAA's might be ok, but the pre workout makes me nervous. LOL

I'm not body building. I do weight training, and am trying to get there for 4am. I thought a pre workout might help with that. But I could be wrong. :)

Any advice/guidance is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,

Lori

might be smart just do part of it and build up. As my trainer says to me if it is just sore muscles than we are keeping it in the program. If it is bad pain than we take it out. If i gave up on my exercises my muscles ache than I would be missing out on a lot of stuff. I know with time my muscles will be stronger and be able to handle it. No pain no gain

So I feel pretty well rounded in the exercise arena. My usual routine is this: Saturday/Sunday 6 Mile run; Tuesday/Thursday: @ gym rotate between elliptical/weights/, stair stepper/weights and circuit training/bike.

When I can't make my usual routine, or am amping up for a fitness goal- I use SWORKIT. It's customized cardio mix. It seems anytime I do this I basically can't use my muscles a few days afterwards. Sunday I couldn't run so I did SWORKIT for 45 minutes. Today I feel every, single muscle. Last time I was damn near tears from the muscle aches. How is it I can do all the other things regularly- hitting all muscle groups I'm sure- but this one does me in every time?

I'm tempted to retire using it, it's just not worth the hurt. But I need a good home-based replacement. Just curious if anyone else avoids a type of exercise because they just don't like how they feel afterwards?

I would still continue even if I didn't have to. Exercise improves my mental health giving me a sharp focus on all my work aside from that stopping exercise would lead me to a sedentary lifestyle.

Technically Monday is a holiday here in the States, but no rest for the wicked - I'm working from home because I have to be in court tomorrow.

Monday - Fencing 2.5 hours

Tuesday - Yoga or strength training.

Wednesday - Fencing - probably 1.5 hours - I have a board meeting so I won't make my whole time at the club

Thursday - Rest

Friday - Pilates and a session with my personal trainer

Saturday - Yoga and agility

Sunday - Rest?

Have a great week everyone

Keep on losing!

Last week was a wake up call for me and I finally realized that I needed to address my nonstop pain issues. I've had shoulder pain since early 2016 and foot pain since May 2017 but past efforts to solve these things have always gotten derailed before the problems have actually been solved. I have appointments scheduled with the podiatrist and orthopedist now. Woo.

Monday: foot exercises, yoga
Tuesday: foot exercises, yoga
Wednesday: pilates class, yoga class
