Good morning, all!

Busy weekend here - I was in NYC singing with my church choir so on my feet and walking quite a bit. Training ramps up this week, I'm 11 days to my national tourney and getting a bit nervous.

Monday - Fencing 3 hours (lesson plus group class)

Tuesday - Weights/gym

Wednesday - Fencing 2 hours

Thursday - Rest

Friday - Pilates and lifting (plus a charity fundraiser I'm part of in the evening)

Saturday - agility and weights

Sunday - rest

Hope everyone has a great week.

Keep on losing!

This is my last week of foot PT and I believe I'm going to get back to walking/running this week. Or else. I'm going to start the Zombies Run 5k Training plan (again) and see how that goes. I've got to get back to it, though. Not doing this is bad for my mental health.

M - physical therapy for feet
Tu - 5k training, yoga for stretching
W - pilates class, yoga class, physical therapy for feet
Th - 5k training, yoga for stretching
F - zenga class, tai chi class, pilates class
Sa - 5k training, yoga for stretching (I might go to the local Parkrun walk it)
Su - yoga at home

Good luck on that 5K! You've got this and we've got your back.

Training starts in a big way - a national competition for me in less than 4 weeks - that means 1-2 fencing lessons a week in addition to group class and training. With Holy Week and Easter just behind me, I'm enjoying having my feet up for part of the day since I sing at my church. I went to the gym today to stretch and use the hot tub, mostly.

S - Rehears 1.5 hours, sang 2 hour service and about 1.5 hours at the gym.

M - Fencing 1/2 hour lesson, 2.5 hour class

Tuesday - have to attend a funeral - but will get to the gym for at least an hour

Wednesday - fencing 2.5 hours

Thursday - gym 1.5 hours and rehearsal for 2 hours

Friday - Pilates 1 hour and lifting

Saturday and Sunday - in NYC singing at St. Thomas Fifth Avenue and Cathedral of St. John the Divine with my church choir. Lots of walking.

Keep on losing!

198 seems thin for 6 foot 4 male ... he wants to lose weight? Did you mean to write 298?

For a five year old, the best thing is to make it a fun game that you do along with him. Find something fun, like a "forest school" that you can join.

And, at that age, you're the one who controls what he eats.
