I am sorry for posting late. Today is a holiday and I was not even thinking about this. I am loving having a long weekend. It is real hot here. We are in the middle of a heat wave. I have been getting up real early to get my training in that has to be done outside
Posture is so important when running. try and remember staying straight and shoulders back will allow you to get the air you need. Good luck
Monday i rested just to hot to do anything
Tue will do a swim
wed master swim. strength training and dance class
Thursday run
friday either swim and a run or a bike ride still working on it
what i don't do on friday i will do saturday
sunday 170 minute ride and off the bike for a 10 minute run
I am waiting to for the weather report for the weekend.
I've been saying that I'm going to be back on track for a while and then screwing it up, so I just got tired of posting and feeling like a liar. Now I actually feel like I am back on track, so I'll get us going this week!
Monday: yoga at home for my aching body
Tuesday: running and yoga stretching
Wednesday: yoga at home since my fitness class place is closed for the holiday
Thursday: running and yoga stretching
Friday: zenga class (skipping tai chi because I've decided it's okay to only go when my tai chi friend is there because I dislike the instructor)
Saturday: parkrun (free 5k race)
Sunday: yoga at home
I need to figure out a non-yoga stretching routine to do after my Saturday parkruns because I'm so used to doing my yoga routine for stretching that I've forgotten how to stretch "normally!"
I also realized that I really hunch my shoulders while running, so I need to figure out how to correct that. Because correcting running posture is -really- easy. NOT. One more thing to try to focus on while running.
How about you? What're you doing this week?

Hi, All!
So, I pulled part of my left quad on Tuesday due to math. We were supposed to do back squats at 75% of max. For me, that was about 90 pounds. So I put 90 pounds on a 35 pound bar and forgot to add in the weight of the bar. I then proceeded to lift 4 sets of 8 at 125 - a new PR and then go to a fencing lesson. Wednesday morning, I could barely walk. Lots of rehab this week, but need to be healthy for St. Louis starting on July 2.
Sunday - rest day - complete rest other than a couple of hours of pulling weeds in the garden
Monday - Fencing lesson and fencing 3 hours
Tuesday - Crossfit class
Wednesday - Fencing 1.5 hours
Thursday - Crossfit class
Friday - Pilates
Saturday and Sunday -drive to St. Louis.
Hope you all had a less eventful week than I did.
Keep on losing!

Hello everyone!
I'm the new kid on the block (Well, this block seeing as how I had my sleeve surgery in 2012)
I lost 107 pounds after surgery then life got busy and I got lazy and gained back a lot.
So I got back on the straight and narrow doing what I knew i was suppose to do and since January I've lost about 30 pounds.
They reason I'm here is because the skin (and fat) hangs and pulls on my abdomin. I'm not near enough to my goal to consider surgery yet. So I was wondering if you guys know or have experience with any compression clothing to wear durring a workout. Something that doesn't roll up or down the rolls on my body? Thanks in advance :)
Thank you. I'm ok with what I did. Not real pleased, but it's better than last year. Slow doesn't matter in these things. It's all about relentless forward progress. This race was a 5 mile loop that was mostly crushed gravel with some road and some grass mixed it. It's an ideal scenario for someone trying to do this stuff for the first time, or someone who doesn't want to be out in the woods alone for 12 hours. I did it because it was an easy way to test how long I could stay upright. Now I need to extend it out to 24 hours and take it to the mountains.

thanks the article was interesting and I am going to try the two layer. Hopefully it will help
You did amazing. Hope you are proud of yourself. I would not mind trying something like that but I am so slow in running. it took me 8 hours to do 50k. Was it a trail run or road
