Our gym challenge is 6 weeks long and gives points for various fitness activities. For instance we get "points" for doing various exercises outside of our normal workout, for instance a certain number of daily "steps" or doing 20 minutes of extra cardio. There are prizes based on the number of points accumulated during the 6 weeks. Watching your intake will and doing these programs WILL lead to weight loss. For me, logging what I'm eating on myfitnesspal.com keeps me aware of my intake so while I have bad days, I can minimize them. It is tough though, hang in there and do your best.
i am truly not sure if I can train yet.
I am just doing a lot of walking. I have no voice still and was put on steroids for 3 days which has not helped and have bronchitis. sleeping is crap.
I am hoping to maybe get in the pool wed and see if i can swim for half an hour.
Happy training everyone

Happy December and Happy Hanukkah to those celebrating!
I'm in the weeds right now at work and have my first national points tournament of the season coming up in 12 days. (Who me, counting?) Fenced a small local tournament today - finished 3rd. Have another event next weekend just to tune up - not going to try to set the world on fire, but just get used to fencing in a larger venue with more noise.
Monday - Fence 2.5 hours
Tuesday - Cross fit 1 hour
Wedensday -Fence 2 hours
THursday - Crossfit
Friday - Pilates 1 hour
Saturday - fence 3 hours
Sunday - well deserved rest.
Keep on losing!

Good luck with the race. i wish we could have some warm weather. maybe i could get better than
Highland we always do the Yoga before..just to stretch out..sort of a tradition
We do the 2 mile run after the yoga..around 6 am or so..normally at a 10:15 pace or so..pretty mild..nothing too fast..
We have been following the Hal Higdon Intermediate 1 training...

Heres the biggest kicker...today was our last "training run"..ran 5 miles in 25 degree weather with wind chill in the teens. No biggie, just layered up...Saturday...the day of the race..race temp at the start, 49 degrees with a high at 4 hours in...OF 70!!!!!!!!!!!!! In December....ughhhh

My exercise motto-Further or faster!!!
Can I give you some advice. you can take or leave it. My trainer would never say yes to hot Yoga the day before a race. Cut the the 2 mile run back to a 20 minute run. you want to rest the day before. The 20 minute run should be done in the morning and rest those legs when you can.
Happy Birthday
Thanks for the wishes. I am sure bronchitis is setting in. I just can not believe i am so sick again
Well, back from moving my mom and still working on cleaning out her apartment. Blah! So, last week I think I did pretty well. I got my steps, water, 2 bike rides, 1 workout, and didn't gain anything over the holiday! YAY!! Due to weather I've had to lower my step goals back down to 10,000 on gym days and trying for 12,000 on non gym days. Ack! I feel like I'm going backwards but I get cold so easy so walking too much hurts...
Monday- Steps in, jus****er in but not good on calories...
Tuesday- Gym already done! Steps in plus water.
Wednesday- Water was good, Steps are low but still over base
Thursday- Gym already done, steps and water in! Thank goodness for good weather today!!
Friday- Water, Steps, and even did well on calories with work party
Saturday- Water, Steps, calories all good! Replaced gym with rollerskating... only fell once! Honestly I though my legs would hurt but no, my arms are killing me!
Sunday- Steps, Water, and work out cleaning out my mom's apartment! Lots of lifting and moving stuff!
Didn't get any riding in due to weather, skating was awesome!
