Happy December all! To those who are in the mid-Atlantic and getting pummeled by snow in NC, VA and other areas that don't normally get the white stuff - stay safe.
Big week ahead for me. First National tournament of the year for my age group at the end of the week so I've got some nerves.
Sunday - Rest day - fenced against children I could have given birth to yesterday then went to my hubby's company holiday party.
Monday - fencing 3 hours
Tuesday - cross fit 1 hour
Wednesday fencing 3 hours plus lesson
Thursday fly to tournament
Friday - fence age group event
Saturday - fence open vet event (women over 40)
Sunday - fly home
Send positive thoughts Friday and Saturday that I either keep my place in my age grou*****t move down tooo much. (Currently 27th among the top 50 ranked women in the US aged 50-59.)

Gwen, Just FYI..I fwd'd that Parkrun website to our Running Club VP..he said he really liked that idea and format and was going to dig into it to see if we can do something like that here.

That sounds about right. I wouldn't be so bad if my left foot didn't have a blister directly in the center on the bottom.
Plus my feet feel so tinder right now. I think Im going to try to get a slow 5 or 6 tomm.

My partner, who runs marathons, tends to take an entire week off running after a race and feels like crap, but still runs some, in the second week after the marathon. He says the rule of thumb is 1 day of recovery per mile of race - at least when it comes to thinking of running fast again :)
He also says, "I normally walk funny and grunt at stairs 3-4 days after a marathon." Hehehe.

I didn't exercise at all last week because of school work. Very frustrating.
Monday - intermediate pilates mat class yay!
Tuesday - nothing due to school and timing of an appointment
Wednesday - pilates mat class
Thursday - running, yoga stretching OR ELSE
Friday - MFR class
Saturday - parkrun (weekly free timed 5k)
Sunday - yoga at home
