Looking at adding a few 5k runs this year, increase distance for biking during good weather, maybe a fun bike race. Mostly just increasing what I already do.

Peach have you done any half marathons? Only reason I'm asking is if you follow Hal Higdon, he has a ton of free training plans..

Those Spartan races are no joke..I dont see myself doing any of those..Trail races and Triathlon are about as far as I will go "off the beaten path". My friends did one in Nashville and she posted videos..those look super tough..more power to you..

Monday- Walked 12,000, drank 64 oz and was a little over carbs.
Tuesday- Worked out cleaning and setting up our home gym! WOOT! Got my water in, steps came in a little low but still made plan.Carbs, again a little over plan. Going to tighten up on my next 100 Day Challenge starting 1/7/19.
Wednesday- Walked, drank, over carbs
Thursday- Gym (hurt my knee...), barley got my steps in, and better but not under on carbs, water was great!
Friday- Got everything done! Walk, water, and under carb goal.
Saturday- No gym as my knee is still a little stiff but got everything else done including a beautiful 3 mile walk with my tiny grand daughter.
Sunday- Walked over 7 miles, rode over 5 miles (wanted to ride more but was starting to "feel" my knee), water was over a gallon and carbs were okay!

I've been playing around with the idea of doing 3 spartan races, the trifecta. So that way I'd need to stick to a training program to do well.

For 2019 I'll continue my usual exercise routine: gym on tues/Thursday doing a mix of cardio and strength and running on Saturday/Sunday. I'll also do the Memorial Day- Independence Day run streak.
Only race planned for me right now is the Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon on 2/24.
I'm sure I'll do a 5k, etc to have a record of times in case I want to sign up for other races.

May 18th-Memphis in May Triathlon-Sprint-first one
June 8th-RUTS (Running Under the Stars) in Paducah Kentucky--Run around a 1/4 mile horse track from 8 pm to 6 am and try and get as many miles as you can
Oct 13th-Chicago Marathon
December 7th-St Jude Half Marathon
And I will prolly have a few 5k/10k's thrown in there at some point..

Monday-Swam 1 mile..had my fastest time..48:40
Tuesday-Commitment Day 5K--Got first place in my division..23:35...course was short..2.89 miles
Wednesday-woke up with the crud this morning, got up at 4 and went right back to bed at 430..
Thursday-Crud Day 2..cant sleep at night with this sinus infection. Day 2 of no exercise. Ughhh
Friday-Crud Day 3..went to the doctor and got a ****tail shot.
Saturday-planned day off
Sunday-run at least 5 miles

Monday- water in, steps almost...
Tuesday- Hey! I got my water in! Steps were close again...(no gym/bike)
Wednesday-Back on Track! Water in, 1,500 over step goal and carbs are good too.
Thursday- HII****er, steps, and carbs nailed it!
Friday- Hit the gym for cardio, steps over for the day, water too! Carbs under! Woot!
Saturday- Woke up not feeling well, we'll see what happens.
Sunday- Depends on the weather!

Back to the grind today..
Monday-Ran 4 miles..our group got together and had a Christmas Eve run..
Tuesday-XMAS..did nothing..but graze too much
Wednesday-swam 1 mile..had a decent time for me..48 minutes
Thursday-only ran 5..have never ran in such windy conditions..it was over 20 mph this morning..was like running in a wind tunnel
Friday-Swim 1 mile..49:20..little slower than Wednesday but still ok
Saturday-Driving to Atlanta for the Peach Bowl..only mild walking that day
Sunday-got home super late Saturday night, took Sunday off
