If these things worked, no one would get surgery :)
What, exactly, are you eating each day? How much liquid are you getting? How much exercise are you doing?
35 pounds in three months is awesome, that's over 10 pounds a month - woo!

Hi there! I've stalled for a month and I'm only in month 3 post op. I workout with my trainer 3x a week and 2x a week on my own. I've only lost 35 pounds. I'm already hungry. Has anyone tried Hydroxycut or something along those lines to lose weight faster, appetite control, and gain energy? If so, which pill would you recommend that's the safest? I feel like I already need a boost and getting discouraged. Please help! Thanks in advance!
It is a challenge! Yep, sometimes faking it to make it! Agreed we WILL do it because we deserve it

As you loose the weight, it causes you to move better and go farther in your exercise. As you exercise more, it cause you to loose more weight...Which allows you to exercise more and go further. Instead of a downward cycle with weight gain, it becomes an upward cycle!! You become a kid in a candy store...With a $20. bill and so many choices. Side note...Know the signs of dehydration!! It's the # 1 reason that can land you back in the hospital.
I think you should do what I did. Go from sport (or workout) to sport (workout) and see which one fits your style and pushes you a bit on the workout side. I thought I would go back to tennis, racquetball and golf post op. A bad back changed that. I took up the bicycle and walked. The bicycle doesn't become fun till you get over 1/2 way to goal. You still have to push/pull all your weight through the peddle. As you loose the weight, the bicycle becomes easier and easier. To know whether you want to take up jogging you might want to try the Couchtwo5K. There are a ton of sites and apps to download to get you to do (even run) a 5K to the finish.
So my suggestion again...Go from one exercise to another to see which one fits YOUR style...As you get released from your physician to do more harder exercise. Brian
Hello All-
Great to see your workouts for the week!! Gwen, yours is not pathetic, you are doing the best you can!
I have been in a rut. Exercise has been more of a chore than a positive. I spoke with a friend who is very active running, biking, working out. He suggested I take a brief hiatus to "rest & recharge" I am doing that for the next week.
Our family is in NH for vacation so going to rest & relax for the week!!

It's so challenging! I really feel like I've just got to fake it till I make it but, ugh. We CAN do it though. Since we are awesome :)

Good Morning GwenM.-I ABSOLUTELY understand your challenge about consistently working out more so having the desire to do so.
I did a marathon back in May. It was simply amazing that a guy who was 350 Ponds could now do that! I trained diligently fir it. Still, since then I have been lacking effort and more importantly DESIRE to do anything. I had a lot of other things that deterred me (Our daughters wedding, Lyme Disease, nagging injuries et al) but mostly just was not into it. I did continue to workout but begrudgingly. Plus this past was brutally hot in Massachusetts so running was limited.
I wish I could find the key to desire but sometimes it is not there. I have faith it will return but till then I just do the bed I can each day.
Here is to hoping we BOTH get our MOJO back!!

I love this idea! You're right Gwen, hard to get going if you never get started. Oh and I'd love to walk with my Mom anyway of the week. It's about progress NOT perfection.
