We did a planking challenge in my olympic lifting class last week after a full hour of lifting. A guy I could have given birth to and I were the last ones standing. I realized he wasn't going to quit until I did, so I dropped at 3:02, but could have gone to 4 minutes easy. Music helps. Hang in there. It gets better.

So Saturday was my first age group/vet event of the season. Drum roll -

Gold in age group saber

Double Bronze (over all and age group) in foil

All in all a pretty good day.

Especially since I just found out I have strep which is why I felt like crap. I did my lesson last night and my coach sent me home because I looked like death.

Didn't lift today.

Whether I fence tomorrow is entirely up to how quickly the amoxicilling works.

If it does - THursday Lift, Friday Pilates. Saturday - who knows.

Have a great week all.

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend.

Week 2 of rehab is in the books. FINALLY got rid of the crutches so Im able to walk now. Trying to not limp. My leg is very weak. I have to do these exercises at home (stretches, air squats, squeezes etc). I have 5 more rehab sessions and then Im not sure what they will have me doing. Im going to ask if I can walk around the park for some exercise but not trying to push the limit yet. It sucks though because Im so used to working out and I have gained live 7 pounds so far. I know what I need to do but my body wont let me yet so its tough but I know it will be over soon.

You are a lawyer?

So, week 2 is in the books. I do a lot of boring exercises at home...kicks, stretches, booty squeezes, pelvic tilt, leg squeezes..etc etc..

Have 1 more week of crutches..actually walking around a little at home around the house..but only chair to kitchen or living room to bathroom..

Sucks though..already gained a few pounds..trying to move some but only so much they want me to do..

Waaaay Late. Started a new jobs a couple of weeks ago - working part time at my health club at the front desk. Long story short, I think I'm starting my 3rd act and may leave practicing law. Started at the beginning of August and I'm loving the lack of responsibility.

Monday - fencing lesson and fencing

Tuesday - Olympic Lifting class

Wednesday - my knee hurts so bad from the front that's moving through, I'm not fencing tonight. I can count on one hand the number of times I've not fenced in 2 years.

Thursday - personal trainer 1 hour

Friday - Pilates

Saturday - Olympic lifting class

Sunday - Standing for 6 hours at work, with a short workout before.

Best wishes to all this week.
