Christmas is only 2 months away..thats crazy..

Had a meeting in Nashville today with my doctor and his PT..I told them of the pain I was having an dso he did an Xray and had me talk to his PT their..

She pushed and poked and got to a point where she dug deep with her hands into my hip on a certain muscle and even though the pain felt very excruciating, when I was done, it felt 100% better..so, Im going to do 8 more weeks of PT and start including that in there..

Hope everyone is enjoying this fall weather..

Topic: RE: Personal Trainer Certification

Having worked in the fitness industry for the last 10 years, at the beginning when I was thinking to become a personal trainer and in looking for a personal training certification. OMG! There were hundreds different companies with their own certification programs. so there was a problem to decide which one of the certification to choose and was thinking Is it difficult to pass a test for getting a certificate? I've been looking at NASM or ISSA mainly because most gyms recognize them. I found that the NASM certificate is generally accepted that every single gym as high-end certification. So the next I was looking for the study and tips to pass the test. As I have read in many articles and internet in looking to pass the NASM personal training certification. I have just found this article ptpioneer.com/study-nasm/ to pass my certificate. I recommend you to check out this article maybe it will help you further.

Agree about the pacers..I read he had a car in front determining the flattest ground on the road.. its still pretty bad ass though..

they said it wouldn't be a world record because of the pacers..

did no****ch it live but i have seen the run. Just crazy. I have mixed feelings about being able to use pacers. The regular person in a race would not e allowed. I would be more excited if he did it without using the pacers.

Another week of rehab in the books. It seems like we are focusing more on strength now and not quite as much on mobility.

Walked 3.1 miles today and the weather was perfect. 51 degrees, little wind..this is the weather I wish I was running in..actually wore long pants today because even though Im walking at a decent pace, it doesn't warm you up like running.

I averaged exactly 17.0 mph..I think for a short guy thats pretty good..lol

Topic: RE: Help with resistance bands

from all my time and years in the gym never have i seen it done this way. Her hands are out to far number one. Number 2 is they should be telling you only to raise as far as you can keeping your posture and your form. It is not about how high you go. as you get stronger you will be able to go higher. Remember to always have control of the band. do not let gravity pull the bands down but lower slowly. that is part of the job. if you want more hints just let me know. like different grips etc. trainer has taught me well
