Weekly Workout - April 22, 2018
on 4/22/18 2:18 pm
Ok, I'm still hip deep in my fencing tournament. Fenced Saturday and today and have one more event tomorrow. (As in burned more than 1,000 calories each day). The best news is so far, I haven't been DFL in any event (dead f-in last). I've been next to last, but not last.
Sunday - Fencing - 4 hours
Monday - Fencing - 4 hours
Tuesday - massage, yoga and stretching and fencing lesson mostly to re-hash what happened at the tournament
Wednesday - Fencing class 2.5 hours
Thursday - 2 hours of Pilates - I'm doing a demo for a friend
Friday - Drive to Pittsburgh to pack child to come home from college
Saturday - Pack and move child home from Pittsburgh.
Sunday - God rested. So will I.
Hope you all have a great week.
Keep on losing!

Cedro Peak 50k went pretty good. Wanted to take it nice and easy and just run it as a training run. Probably pushed a little too hard the last 10 miles or so, but I feel pretty good about it. Was shooting for about a 7 hour finish. Ran a 6:36, so close enough. Going to take a down week to rest a bit.
Monday-rest
Tuesday-6 mile run
Wednesday-6 mile run and gym
Thursday-6 mile run
Friday-6 mile run
Saturday-12 mile run
Sunday-10 mile run
VSG: 3/12/15
I made the mistake of doing a 5k walk on Saturday in brand new shoes, and my shins are a bit unhappy still today. Sigh. I hope that it's that the shoes are new and not the shoes period, since that would suck if I had brand new expensive Hokas that I ended up not being able to wear!
Monday: home PT exercises for neck and feet
Tuesday: neck PT, maybe running/stretching?
Wednesday: pilates class, yoga class
Thursday: neck PT, maybe running/stretching?
Friday: zenga class, tai chi class, pilates class
Saturday: walking with mom
Sunday: walking with mom

I hope it is not the hokas. I know the first pair i had were great and my last pair I had to give them up after a few months. It was affecting my running. i was starting to hate going out to run.The back of my calf would ache with them. I will not go back to them. Give them a few months and if no improvement than start looking for something on sale
Good news about your fencing. Remember nothing wrong with being last. You are doing it
I know this is real late but i will post anyhow
Monday walking
Tue was a all out 60 minute run. I had nothing left in me when I was done.
Wed Master swim
Thursday 50 minute on a spin bike
Friday 40 minute swim and maybe a run
Saturday waiting to see if we have rain or not bike ride outside if need be will be indoors
Sunday 60 minute run
Think i will start jumping in on this thread.
On april 19 i finally narrowed the gym choice down and chose anytime fitness. they don't have a pool sauna or anything too fancy but the facility is clean and they people don't bug you. and the price was good. I still may join the other gym in the next town over because I do really like aqua fit and my DH has back issues so it is worth $40 for the both of us to go together (with guest membership privileges)
Here are the workouts for this week:
Monday- rpm class/arm weight workout
Tuesday- stretch, cardio bike, leg weight workout
Wednesday- off
Thursday- stretch, arm weight workout, yoga/stretch/meditation
Friday- off
Saturday- cardio/stretch

Thank you. I was 2TL in one event. Just this weekend - now a full week gone - I looked at the rankings of some of the people I fenced. Most of the folks who kicked my butt were rated in the top 20 in my age group in the nation. So, given that fact that I scored touches on some of these people is a big deal. I find that perspective is easier for me once I'm about a week out. I should be able to watch some of the video my husband did in the next few days.
Keep on losing!
